LIASONS: LDR NETWORK, ACTS 29, RESURGENCE, PIPER, DRISCOLL

Note: The following is an excellent expose compiled by our good friends over at Discern The Times (see blogroll), and it would behoove us, beloved, to prayerfully consider the truth revealed herein. As geopolitics align with prophecy, the culture descends deeper into the moral abyss, and much of the professing church slides into heresy – it is past time for to acknowledge that we adhere to Sola Scriptura as absolute authority and chuck the rest!

Rick Warren and Drucker:

Some leaders, like father Leo Bartel and Pastor Rick Warren, followed up with telephone calls seeking Druker’s advice on pressing issues, and even made trips to consult with Drucker in his home. Bartel is the parish priest of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Morrison, Illinois, and has presided over the diocese in the areas of Catholic Charities and social justice.

Warren is pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, which he founded in 1980 after graduating from seminary. The congregation has grown from a modest meeting in Warren’s living room to more than 18,000 attending weekly. Warren is known and respected worldwide, and his books selling more than 25 million copies. He often cites Drucker as his mentor.

Both Bartel and Warren speak of Drucker’s graciousness and wisdom in helping them chart the course for their ministries. Warren says his staff reads and discusses Drucker’s writings, using them to manage the church’s multi-faceted ministry. (from link above)

“I first connected with Leadership Network when our new church in Seattle, Mars Hill, had less than 200 people. Because of Leadership Network’s encouragement and networking, [Is this the corporate world? Doubtless not the Bride of Christ Matt 16:18!]* we have grown to 3,600 people a week. The friends I have at Leadership Network are the biggest source of help I have ever received on how to better serve Jesus.”

Missional Renaissance: http://www.leadnet.org/LC_MissionalRenaissance.asp

“Although the next church’s shape is not yet obvious, the forces that give it shape are.” – Reggie McNeal, The Present Future

“The Missional Renaissance Leadership Community unites innovative churches whose leaders are thinking differently about the church could be and even should be. For these leaders, church has moved from the being internally preoccupied to externally focused – from primarily focusing on its institutional maintenance to develop an incarnational influence. These leaders find themselves thinking of kingdom impact more than church growth and are thinking of the church as a catalyst to mobilize all of the community, not just the church, to work on the big things God cares about.”

[Guess what? This NOTHING more than recycled ideas that have no origin or basis in Scripture. Theirs is a “kingdom now” thinking which demonstrates the driving factor is man’s attempt at apotheosis (def: man becoming god), and attempting to “perfect earth” apart from the return of Jesus Christ’s Millennial Kingdom. This has been the M.O. of men since Nimrod throughout history – it’s ultimate end is Satan who imagines he is capable of taking the place of God – of course, the devil knows he is defeated which happened over 2,000 years ago, in fact, since the instant of his prideful “5 I’s”, but that will not restrain him from seeking to take as many Christ-rejecting souls with him to the place where Jesus said was, “ … prepared for the devil and his angelsMat 25:41. The arrogant, apostate men who are ‘networking’ to “do church“, apart from Christ Jesus, have no Lampstand and are of those to whom the LORD shall say, “I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.Luk 13:27]*

B. Acts 29 Network

Cofounder Mark Driscoll

(note: who here is building the House? Ps 127:1)

The Mission of the Acts 29 Network to band together Christian, Evangelical, Missional & Reformed churches, who, for the sake of Jesus and the gospel, plant churches across the United States and the world.

Acts 29 is a network of pastors from around the world whose dream a dream is to help qualified leaders called by God to plant new churches and replant declining churches. If you have to plant or replant, we will assess your fitness to pursue that dream. And, if you are a good fit with our network we will strive to assist you with friendship, coaching, and resources that will help you successfully serve Jesus. Simply, we love Jesus and if He has called you to serve Him in church planting we would love to serve you.”

“We desire to make your dream of planting a gospel-driven church come true” – Scott Thomas-director

If, after praying and seeking God in His Word, dear reader, you feel compelled to leave a comment disagreeing that these men are guilty of the very leaven of the Pharisees and Sadduccees in attempting to lay a foundation built upon sand which the LORD is not laying. Let’s talk.
