I am very upset at the moment, but will permit to the Lord to reign me in so my laptop keyboard does not burn up! The title to an article on Breaking Israel News lit me ablaze, but I will take this opportunity to define precisely what a Christian is and is not.
To witness is to share the Holy One of Israel with the lost, stressing the essential need of repentance in full agreement with God that every Commandment has been willfully broken. In essence, prior to salvation, self is enthroned as god and the flesh revels in it.
Having rejected the word evangelical as a descriptive years back, due to so many foolish things, perhaps like those when Charles H. Spurgeon resigned from The Baptist Association. This is unbelievable and the behavior intolerable!
So-called ‘Stars’ of Evangelicalism
The Vatican for millennia has held a hellish hatred toward the Jewish people, and the polished the man to conduct genocide against them, Hitler. To this day the Far too many others with appearances before INSA, presidential inaugurations, speaking before the U.N., and are most braggadocios of attaining listing upon the NYT Best Sellers list. This verse has such in mind, For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. (Gal 1:10)
Spiritual Poison Spread by well-known Evangelicals
“We need to rethink everything we thought we knew about God,” that noxious gem brought to the world by Brian McClaren. These so-called pastors promote and pursue all God forbids — contemplative prayer, repetitive babbling one or two words , walking of a labyrinth with each successive circle promising to draw them to god, teach others to look inward to find ‘god’. Many evangelicals encourage reading the writings of heretical mystics who slaughtered Christians and Jewish people without taking issue. Beth Moore, John Piper, Francis Chan, Erwin McManus, and many others, teach people to ‘pursue the silence’ to hear what it is god is saying. A clear violation of, “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (Mt 6:7)
These so-called believers divest from Israel: Presbyterian Church of the United States, Church of Christ (part of the World Council of Churches), Church of God, United Methodist Church, and the list continues to grow. No fear of the LORD, who states: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (Ge 12:3)
Now the article:
In Birthplace of Jesus, Evangelicals Gather to Reject Israel, Embrace Palestinian Cause
“Who shall ascend into the mountain of the LORD? and who shall stand in His holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not taken My name in vain, and hath not sworn deceitfully.” Psalms 24:3-4 (The Israel Bible™)
Evangelicals are the strongest supporters of Israel, so it is particularly disturbing when a group from within their midst aligns with the Palestinians – even going so far as to support acts of violence against Jews while accusing Israel of violent crimes. Yesterday, while the conference was at its peak, five terror attacks were perpetrated against Israelis.
This was precisely what happened this week at the fourth biennial Christ at the Checkpoint Conference in Bethlehem, in which over 300 attendees gathered from all over the world in an Evangelical-led hate-fest against Israel and the Jews.
Israel is a sovereign nation given her by Almighty God! There “Palestinian” people were dreamed up by Britain:
Belated Palestinian Nationalism
The reason why there was no agitation among Palestinians for their own national identity prior to 1967 is perfectly clear. The concept of Palestine as a nation and Palestinians as a separate people did not exist among the Arabs of the Turkish provinces that became British Mandatory Palestine after World War I. Despite the contorted, forced, and contrived narratives of Rashid Khalidi, Baruch Kimmerling and others, their own analyses acknowledge that there was never any state called Palestine, no country inhabited by “Palestinians”, and no concept of a separate political or cultural or linguistic entity representing a defined group that could be identified by such an appellation.
In fact, the opposite is the case. Arab respondents to the UN’s UNESCOP 1947 inquiries argued that there never was, nor should there ever be, a Palestine. The area under discussion was historically part of southern Syria; and for centuries had been known as “balad esh-sham” (the country of Damascus). In fact, at that time, the term “Palestinian” was applied to the Jews living in Mandatory Palestine. The Arabs of the region were known as “Arabs”.
In a March 31, 1977 interview with the Amsterdam-based newspaper Dagblad de Verdieping Trouw, PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhse’in said:
“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.” Link: http://www.think-israel.org/meir-levi.settlements.html
- And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD. And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. (Ge 12:7-9)
- And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it? And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not. And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away. And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites. (Ge 15:4–21)
It is bad enough the Jewish people are forced to deal with enemies surrounding her, but to now have people referring to themselves as evangelicals, not God-fearing nor Bible-adherent Christians — these despicable people are participating in denying the birthplace of the Lord Jesus Christ — and supporting a make believe people group. Disgusting and certainly not pleasing to the Almighty.
