Arnold Murray More Information Presented As Warning

Amazingly, the article on Arnold Murray, Shepherd’s Chapel, is one of the most viewed on EZC. Thus, in this post we will further break down why this man is a false teacher, albeit portraying himself as very learned, privy to special interpretation, and able to expound truth better than, for instance, pastors and laypeople of the Reformation. Certainly, Murray promotes the false idea the bible is so confusing and complex that apart from his interpretation no layperson could hope to understand. Does this agree with what God says of His Word?

• But when the Priests and Scribes saw the marvels that he did, and the children crying in the Temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, they disdained, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus said unto them, Yea: read ye never, By the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast made perfect the praise? Mt 21:15-16 (cf. Ps. 8:2)
• And that thou hast known the holy Scriptures of a child, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through the faith which is in Christ Jesus. For the whole Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teach, to convince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousness. That the man of God may be absolute, being made perfect unto all good works. 2 Tim 3:15- 17
• And suppose that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation, even as our beloved brother Paul according to the wisdom given unto him wrote to you. As one that in all his Epistles speaketh of these things: among the which, some things are hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable, wrest, as they do also other Scriptures unto their own destruction. 2 Pet 3:15-16 (read vv 17-18)

If reborn in the Lord Jesus Christ, His promise remains:

• These things have I spoken unto you, being present with you. But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your rembrance which I have told you. Jhn 14:25-26
• Yet I tell you the truth, It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, that Comforter will not come unto you: but if I depart, I will send him unto you, And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment, Jhn 16:7-8
• I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when he is come which is the spirit of truth, he will lead you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, shall he speak, and he will show you the things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath, are mine, therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and show it unto you. Jn 16:12-15

Murray teaches “serpent seed” that satan and Eve had relations in the garden which resulted in the birth of Cain. Thus saith the Lord, Afterward the man knew Even his wife which conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have obtained a man by the Lord. (Gen 4:1) Also known as “seedline” “two-seed” Christian Identity Movement. Stating the rather obvious, Mormons (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) teach the same.[1] “Christian” Identity Movement teaches whites, not Jews, are the real Hebrews of the Bible that non-whites are sub-human “beasts of the field” created without souls.[2]

God says,  The Lord God also made man of the dust of the ground, and breathed in his face the breath of life, and the man was a living soul. (Gen 2:7) All mankind is born with a soul. Else how could every man ever born be accountable to God for salvation? Why would God incarnate as the Lord Jesus Christ to live a sinless, perfect, holy life and die a substitutionary death for all men who, by faith, come unto salvation and are cleansed from all sins by His Blood Atonement? 

“During a live taping of Shepherd’s Chapel in 1998, an audience member yelled, “Blasphemer!” Murray turned around at his desk and pulled a gun. The broadcast cut to Shepherd Chapel’s satellite logo but the audio continued. “Here. Take this 9mm to that boy,” Murray said[3]. The clip aired on “The Daily Show” and remains widely available on the Internet, as is another Shepherd’s Chapel clip in which Murray reaches into his desk and pulls out what claims is the fossil of an angel footprint, from a pre-Adamic time when angels walked the earth. “[4]

From 2010 a polite, public challenge to a debate regarding the Trinity, pre-existence of the soul, the serpent seed doctrine, and annihilationism (contrary to scripture which teaches eternal suffering in hell of the unrighteous, this last heresy claims God’s Word is incorrect and the unrighteous souls will cease to exist).

EZC would add, regarding the fallen vs. holy Angels:

• The Angels also which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jud 6 (cf. 2 Pet 2:4)
• How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning? and cut down to the ground, which didst cast lots upon the nations? Yet thou saidest in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, and exalt my throne beside the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the North. I will ascend above the height of the clouds, and will be like the most high. But thou shalt be brought down to the grave, to the side of the pit, They that see thee, shall look upon thee and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, and that did shake the kingdoms? Is 14:11-16 (read all of Isaiah 14)
• Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was in thy garment, the ruby, the topaz, and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, emerald, and the carbuncle and gold: the workmanship of thy timbrels, and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed Cherub, that covereth, and I have set thee in honor: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God: thou hast walked in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in all thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. And the enemy that soweth them, is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers be the Angels. The Son of man shall send forth his Angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity. And shall cast them into a furnace of fire. • Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister, for their sakes which shall be heirs of salvation? Heb 1:14
• For such false apostles are deceitful workers, and transform themselves into the Apostles of Christ, And no marvel: for Satan himself is transformed into an Angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing, though his ministers transform themselves, as though they were ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Cor 11:13-15
• And there was a battle in heaven, Michael and his Angels, fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels. But they prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon that old serpent, called the devil and Satan, was cast out, which deceiveth all the world: he was even cast into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now is salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
